GET ON COURT.
You don't need experience. You don't need to use a wheelchair in daily life. You just need to turn up. Wheelchair basketball is fast, social and seriously good fun. We'll have a chair ready and someone to show you the ropes.
Come and try is exactly what it sounds like.
Roll up, give it a go, no pressure and no commitment. Most people who come once come back.
Our programs
We're building our programs piece by piece, with the players who need them most at the heart of every one.
Community Program
Supported by: Community Bank Hervey Bay
Weekly all-abilities training and social competition, open to anyone who wants to play. The heart of the club, and the best place to start. Program commencing July 18th 2026.
Connect Program

Our weekday program for people with disability with higher support needs. A place to move, build fitness, and find real social connection, at your own pace.
Masters Program
Supported by: CQ Soil Testing
Competitive and social wheelchair basketball for mature-age players. Same game, same court, for players who've still got plenty left in the tank. Coming soon!
Women on Wheelz
Supported by: One Agency Fraser Coast
Our female-focused program. Whether you're chasing competition or just want a team to call your own, this is your spot on the court. Coming soon!
More on the way… As the club grows, so do the ways to play, with 3x3, representative and academy pathways all part of where we're headed.
When we play
Sessions are listed here as they're confirmed. Keen to get started before you see your program listed? Get in touch and we'll let you know when and where.
“I love the freedom of movement that wheelchair basketball lets me have”
~ Erin Mills, Dingoes Player & Club President
We are the Hervey Bay Dingoes!
Wherever this goes, it starts here. With a training session on a quiet weeknight. With a player who turned up not knowing anyone and kept coming back. With a town slowly learning the Dingoes' name. We're doing the small work, week in and week out, because that's what builds something that lasts.
Piece by piece, on the right foot, together.
